Seeking Local Art Submissions!

Happy New Year to our artists and supporters. As we come into the new year, we are heeding public health advice, and coordinating with Ringwood Manor Park for 2021 activities and will keep our exhibitors advised. Keep an eye on your email and our Facebook page for news.

We miss seeing new artwork at the gallery (and the artists who create it). So to get our dose of local artwork, we’re having an online contest.

Submission Rules:

Enter your original Paintings Only!
Artists can submit 2 entries
Deadline: January 31, 2021 11:59pm EST

We are running the contest on our Facebook page HERE or email a copy of your artwork to RMAAentries(at)gmail.com.

Our favorite will receive a Winsor & Newton professional watercolor set (12 tubes).

The entry with the most Facebook likes/loves will receive a $25 gift card to Jerry’s Artarama.

All RMAA decisions are final.

You don’t have to be an RMAA member to enter. However, many of our fixed expenses continue even though we can not open the gallery. Any membership payments or donations would be greatly appreciated!

Join us for a Special Fundraiser for the Ringwood Manor Association of the Arts!

UPDATE: The Magic Lantern Show has sold out. Thank you for the support!

Magic Lantern Show

As early as the 17th century, the magic lantern was used to project hand-painted slides in glowing, luminous color for awestruck audiences. The Magic Lantern at Ringwood Manor will be held inside the historic Great Hall and include demonstrations by filmmaker, author, and magic lanternist Joel Schlemowitz of the 18th-century Phantasmagoria, a show which used the magic lantern to create images of ghosts and spirits. This will be followed by projections of some of Mr. Schlemowitz’ collection of 19th-century magic lantern slides, including animated slip-slides, gearwork moving images, and dissolving views.
