Congratulations – Found Art Project Juried Exhibition Winners!

Thank you to all who joined us for a joyous award ceremony yesterday afternoon! Congratulations to the Found Art Project Juried Exhibition winners:

Congratulations to RMAA Scholastic Arts Award Winners

Congratulations to RMAA Young Artist exhibitors Sarah Abrahamsen and Nick Metz. Both have won regional awards in the 2017 National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Through the years, both Sarah and Nick have been winners at the RMAA’s Annual Young Artist Expo. Regional Scholastic Art judging took place at Montclair Art Museum and an awards reception was recently held there. Over 420,000 student pieces were submitted nationally for judging, with over 4,200 being judged at Montclair.

Sarah won 4 Gold Key Awards, one for her portfolio project Abu (Abuelita), two Gold Keys for photography, and one for mixed media. Additionally, Sarah was awarded a Silver Key in photography, an honorable mention in photography, and two Honorable Mentions in mixed media. Nick was awarded a Gold Key in photography, an Honorable Mention in photography, three Silver Keys in painting, two Honorable Mentions in painting, along with two Honorable Mention in Drawing.

RMAA President, Joe Fontana is a Scholastic Arts adjudicator in New Jersey and New York regions.

Gold Key winners will move to national judging in New York City, with national awards being presented this summer at Carnegie Hall.
